LANARK GOLF CLUB

Lanark Golf Club has a development plan to upgrade the weaker features of this excellent golf course.

The first project was the re-modelling of the green for the short par three 7th hole. There had been problems in the past with drainage and a number of attempts at remodelling to improve bunkering had not worked out. In 2005 the surface of the green was raised and I completely re-modelled the new bunkers in a more classic Lanark style. The new sand-based green took care of sub-surface drainage problems and the bunkering and new green design has been well received by the members.

The following year, green 6 and the surrounds were remodelled and, in the winter of 2009/10, new fairway bunkers replaced the existing fairway bunker.
