QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

I qualified with a Professional Diploma in Golf Course Architecture in 1998 and since then I have advised a number of golf clubs in Scotland on making improvements to their courses.

I have been lecturing in Golf Course Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art since the inception of the MSc Degree course in 2000. I have qualifications in Golf Course Management and I worked and studied for a year at Gleneagles in Perthshire.

I have provided numerous course design appraisals, designs for new courses, new holes, new greens and programmes for re-locating and re-modelling bunkers. I have also supervised the construction and implementation of new design features.

My knowledge of agronomic requirements means that I can also advise on constructions, grasses and surface preparation as well as maintenance on all types of surfaces.

I can advise on the best approach to programming the work, the likely timescales and costs and the construction and Planning requirements as well as providing designs and specifications for the works.
